I meant if the UK decides to abolish before we decide to do it ourselves. What happens?

Re Squid’s tag, I’m not sure what you’re disagreeing about, I wasn’t stating an opinion but a fact. We are the most entrenched than any of the other commonwealth countries, including the UK itself.

She was the longest serving Monarch in British history. Six years longer than Victoria.

I think you mixed up your I's and V's. King George IV died in 1830.

I was 5 when she became Queen but can't say I remember much about her father.

I do remember watching the Coronation. It was a big deal at the time because the film was flown to Canada on a RAF Canberra jet bomber and we got to see it several hours after the actual event. It was the first overseas event televised in North America on the same day.
Thanks for pointing out my error. I fixed it.

I said to my Brit neighbour "hey the Queen is dead".  He said "Justin Trudeau is dead?".  I laughed.

Yes other than the 600 charities she supported, in which she helped raise over $2 billion dollars for.  Other than that though, no accomplishments, that you know of.  But you know very little.  It probably doesn’t stack up to your great accomplishments as a woke keyboard warrior.

So you can’t point to a single thing she actually did, just vague gestures at charities she “supported” while leeching off the public dime. So funny to see you slurp that desiccated old butthole though, you’re just a natural follower, a born peon always looking for a master.

She only raised one paedophile and was friends with dozens more, I can’t compete with that.

She raised over $2 billion dollars for 600 charities.  Are you hard of hearing son?  Regardless, I’ve already admitted  that her accomplishments pale in comparison to yours as a woke keyboard warrior.  Most people’s probably pale in comparison.  I honestly don’t know where the world would be without you pounding the keys on your keyboard day in and day out.

She also served in WWII.  But you fight battles with your keyboard every day, so again, it pales in comparison to you, in Alberta sitting in front of your computer as the old man yelling at clouds.  Stupid boomer.

Wow the death of an old lady you never knew who could not possibly have given a **** about you has hit you hard, loser office drone living in the garbage London. You’re a pathetic little turd glomming into the slightest hint of power and authority, a bootlicker to the core. “Served in WWII” Jesus Christ take a look at yourself you pube of a person. What a total waste of life you are.

given the position and associated role carries no actual 'power', that it's ceremonial... symbolic... what absent, as you say, "things" were you presuming upon?

You’re proving my point for me: revering a person who does bugger all by design is absurd. You’re literally celebrating a person for the mere fact of existing.

She knew all the worlds leaders for the last 70 years which gave her a store of knowledge and wisdom unequalled by any world leader. As her conversations with those leaders and her own PM's were strictly confidential and the monarch is required to be apolitical, there is really no way to know what influence she had.
