She was our Queen, our head of state, for 70 years.
Yeah the point isn’t that I expect her or her successors to do more, it’s that the lack of tangible achievements makes the outpouring of public mourning extremely mystifying to me.
I mean some people are royal gawkers, which doesn't appeal to me at all. Like who cares about Harry and Meghan. I didn't understand the outpouring over Diana, just another celeb to me who died. At least the Queen has a role.
