But nothing like your endless threads and posts about the evil of liberals/progressives.
The liberal vs conservative thing is actually annoying. Neither side is as bad as their opponents say, and both of them are worse than their defenders say.
Harper was a pragmatic leader when it came to the economy. After the 2008 crash, he used conventional levers of government to keep the economy going. His environmental policy was regressive, and some of his policies (denying health coverage to refugees for example) were disgusting, and did little to benefit people other than to get the xenophobe vote out.
He was vilified far beyond what was rational. One of my friends told me she was afraid of Harper because he was going to outlaw abortion.
Trudeau came in with the promise of youth, backed by a braintrust. In fact, we've seen few new ideas and instead have had a lot of social progressiveness branding.
The business world is now changing at a rapid pace, as businesses are learning to change or die. I now feel that this wave will come to government very soon, there's no way to avoid it. Idiots like Trump and DoFo are the dumb first wave of it. In fact, there will be opportunities for new leaders to balance right and left, with general benefits for all. There will be pain and noise, but overall it will be good.
