Why are we still arguing about equalization with Wilber, who clearly is unwilling to understand the concept? You don't debate calculus with someone who only just learned arithmetic. They don't understand you and aren't going to.
You seem to still think the sources of revenue are provinces and not individuals.
Look at the country as a family. If your spouse makes twice as much as you do and they take a 50% pay cut you both suffer for it, not just your spouse. If you don't understand that, you won't understand equalization.
No one has argued otherwise.... when people make less money, there’s less $$$ for equalization. Ummm... yeah. No one is arguing that equalization doesn’t go down when tax revenues go down. What are you even talking about? You’re arguing with a straw man again.
I am commenting on the donkeys who don't think Alberta's economy going in the tank is going to affect them.
No one thinks that though. You’re making stuff up to argue against.
With all the Alberta bashing going and the wish to see the energy industry disappear, some obviously do.
None of this matters anymore.
Of course it matters, it's just on hold.
Nope - it's likely that our way of life will be changed by this long term.
