And what makes you think that revenue can't come equally from renewables once the transition is complete?

Canada doesn't have a comparative advantage in producing renewable energy.  In fact, we're at a disadvantage when it comes to solar because our country is located so north.  Solar panels in ie: California are more efficient.

We aren't going to be exporting tons of renewable energy all over the world like we do oil, it doesn't work like that.  We're not going to be storing tons of solar or wind energy in batteries and shipping them overseas for big profits.  Canada has a big comparative advantage in oil and gas because these are much-needed resources and we have vast amounts of it, far more than almost any other country.
