If you take what fossil fuels contribute out of the economy, where is that subsidy money supposed to come from?

It could well come from the sale of clean energy as it does now from the sale of energy from fossils. Also from the ever increasing numbers of people working in the renewable energy industry. I know I would rather breath fresh air working outside on a wind farm than in a hole in the ground sucking in coal dust.
