Are you sure it's not because... "he suggested Trudeau is a Muslim convert."... ie. he's a nutty lie-sayer ?

I haven't seen any evidence that Fatah himself is saying Trudeau is a secret Muslim convert.  I did find this Twitter post where he asserts that a lot of people in Pakistan seem to think that's the case, however:

https://twitter.com/tarekfatah/status/693077333301944322?lang=en

Pakistani truck drivers turning their rigs into rolling shrines to the Canadian PM... that's hilarious!

As far as "promoting the Quebec mosque conspiracy theory", it appears that is based on Fatah repeating the claim that the second man detained by police that night, Mohamed Belkadir, was an accomplice. Given the circumstances under which Belkadir was taken into police custody, that's an easy leap to make. As there was a lot of misinformation being spread that night, I suspect Fatah made an honest mistake.

Why do I give Fatah the benefit of the doubt? Because he has a long track record of being reasonable and respected:
Quote
In December 2008, the Toronto Star suggested that Prime Minister Stephen Harper appoint Fatah to one of the vacant seats in the Canadian Senate.[22] Toronto Star's senior editor Bob Hepburn wrote that Fatah is "A prominent spokesperson for secular and progressive Muslim issues who would bring a much-needed unique perspective to the Senate."

It is too bad Harper didn't take up the suggestion.  If JT tried to now, no doubt it would cement his conversion to Islam in the minds of some people.   No doubt many would immediately be packing up to move or checking their weapons in anticipation of Sharia being implemented.

I'd be okay with it.

With Sharia law in Canada???

Kidding, I know what you meant.   But you aren't even remotely insane, merely argumentative.   Oops, almost forgot the smiley so you'd know I'm only teasing a bit.   ;)

Uh.  So you agree with a nut then.  Ok.  I personally would find a sane person who shares the same view, and cite *them*.

"Some of them are very fine people."

I don't think Tarek Fatah is a nut. I think he is a well stated writer. I agree with much of what he says. He asked rhetorically whether Trudeau was a Muslim convert. He never said he was.

http://scaramouchee.blogspot.ca/2013/08/tarek-fatah-has-justin-trudeau-in.html

Please do not make false accusations against Fatah or for that matter myself. Here is more of what Fatah said:

http://www.meforum.org/4779/canada-mosque-controversy

So  trying to suggest Fatah said something he did not, and then say I agree with him things he did not say is equally as pointless.

Some yes have questioned Trudeau's religious beliefs. I have not because I could care less.

Some have argued by reciting the Shadah in front of some Muslim men Trudeau in theory became a Muslim convert.

If I had any opinion it is that Trudeau is a low iq individual, extremely narcissistic and shallow, embarrassingly so, and will pose and pander to minorities to get their vote.

Now if you want to attribute where the accusations he is a convert come from try this:

You have me mistaken with an eagle. I only come to eat your carcass.

If someone makes a single nutty claim, I declare them a "nut".  It doesn't mean that everything they say is crazy though.
