I think that religions renting rooms to people is a side hustle, and as such subjected to secular law.

The case law angle isn't significant, as far as I can see.  Out of curiosity - do you think that they should have to rent to anyone?  Neo Nazis?  KKK? A sex party? NAMBLA?

And of course they are still allowed to dictate how people can behave in their community.
