The idea of taking someone's hobby/passion away to make yourself feel good is pretty sad, in my opinion.  The notion that stopping people target shooting will somehow stop some hood from opening fire on another gang member in downtown Toronto is risible.

So you don't think mass shootings in schools etc. is sad?

We've discussed you making stuff up before.  Same conditions apply.

We is you and me.  You make stuff up all the time.  Really, you do.  Maybe you don't realize it.

It's because you don't like something, but can't come up with an argument to it.

In this case you took a perfectly reasonable assertion that those whose hobby includes the ownership of guns should be allowed to continue owning them and turned it into something else because you didn't like what I said, but couldn't actually put any one of your fingers on what was wrong with it.

Obviously you're still a little confused. Maybe it's all that bouncing up and down. The point is we have strong gun laws in Canada and of them we have a lot less mass shootings than they do in the US. If you feel a need to own an ar 15, you should have to keep it at a firing range.

About 1/3 of the crime guns on Toronto streets were legally obtained as restricted weapons in Canada.  That's too many.

Exactly, and who the hell needs a 30 round mag if you're heading into the woods to shoot a deer?

Restricted weapons sales have increased dramatically since the LGR was destroyed. Total ownership of restricted weapons was 486 thousand in 2012, and 673 thousand in 2016. Number of handguns imported by gun shops increased 73% during that time. They may not be directly related, but there does seem to be a correlation.

I'm not confused, and I do see what the problem is.  You not only make stuff up, but you do it in response to posts you haven't read properly.

The fact that 2/3 of the crime guns on Toronto streets were illegally obtained does tell me that restricting someone's hobby isn't going to make any difference.  It's obviously not that difficult for scum to get a gun.

Again with the lack of comprehension.  We weren't talking about making anything a little more difficult.  We were talking about prohibition.

You're okay with it, as are some others, while I am not.

That's all.

Agreed. I don't think much of the removal of magazine size restrictions either.

Who the hell cares about magazine size restrictions?  I know lots of old farts & rural people who hunt.  They don't care, it's irrelevant to them.  They don't open up 40 rounds at a deer or partridge.  You want a 50 round magazine or whatever?  Well how about you purchase them one at a time ONLY at licensed shooting ranges, and it's illegal to leave the range with one.  Or how about you go play Call of Duty, i dunno.

I'm a gun owner and believe that some of the current regulations on firearms in this country are extremely stupid.  However, the magazine size restriction is one thing I do firmly believe in.

That's because you're not a man.  Being a real man means opening up as many rounds as you can for as long as you can into something you intend on making die.  It's like ejaculating out the end of a hollow steel rod.  YOU JUST DON"T GET IT!

You haven't heard about the gangbangers outside Moosejaw roiling in their low-riders shooting up each other have you.
