First, we had the Cons guaranteeing no centrists will vote for the Cons with denying climate change at their convention (among other idiocy).

Now, the NDP has guaranteed that let-wing moderates won’t vote for them either.

And another resolution calls on an NDP government to ban the use of pepper spray by law enforcement because of the long-term adverse health effects.

NDP and CPC are filled with idiots and crazy people.  Most Canadians are center-left so Liberals have a huge advantage.  If they weren't such arrogant a-holes they could win basically every election.  Canada needs another party somewhere around the center.

Fact: the further you go towards the left or right the closer you get to crazy-town.

I agree, and would add: if they listened to the best ideas of the CPC and NDP and put some smarts into policy and management, vs winning, they would be heroes.

Those are just proposals. Policy conventions always have proposals out of left field from various factions. The party as a whole votes on what becomes policy.
