A strong willed person knows how to control themselves in public. To say that's not possible is nonsense. Besides, it's not like he just found out his kids died. None of the times Trudeau cried should have been moments of overwhelming emotion.

I don't really think shedding a tear in public is "out of control" but apparently you do. Now, what is your opinion about continuous lying such as your buddy Trump does?

God, your insults are even more pathetic than your attempts at discussion! You fail at every level!

When he is speaking in the House he is on the job.

Even at work people can be compassionate and empathetic, including cryng.  And by crying, I am not talking about breaking down into hysterics or "blubbering like a ****", but tearing up and a bit of difficulty talking is not the crime some seem to think it is.

This is probably the most nitpicky issue I’ve seen in a decade. Are we really complaining about Trudeau’s emotions?

Well, he made it an issue.

My emotions have nothing to do with the technical aspects of flying an aircraft. If for4 instance though I was in flight and got word that a colleague or a loved one had suddenly passed, I would not be afraid to shed a tear. The pax. aren't usually in the cockpit but I doubt they would be worried that I had a human response such as that. I don't think it would cause me to crash.

Trudeau wasn't in flight, he had plenty of time to get his emotions out in the day's before he made the speech. The job is more than technical. I can still remember around 20 years ago driving down 0 Ave on my way to work, listening to Bocelli and Brightman singing Time to Say Goodby, bawling my brains out because I had to put down my 13 year old lab the day before. That ended before I got to work.

I gather people are more interested in Justin's misty-eyed apology than in Bill Morneau's insider trading.

Maybe Trudeau is as crafty with distractions as El Trumpo.

Morneau's behaviour is all sound and fury signifying little unless Trudeau or whoever is in charge decides the bad publicity is causing them brand harm, then he'll be gone. But nothing will change, regardless. I frankly don't see how it can be anything but conflict of interest to bring in legislation which will benefit a company you own millions of dollars in shares in.

If he was insider trading, he's not very good at it, seeing as waiting two weeks would have made him hundreds of thousands of dollars more than selling when he did.

This is nice and I wish we could see more of it.

After Justin Trudeau finished apologizing on Tuesday for the wrongs committed by the federal government against sexual minorities, Andrew Scheer rose to second that apology. This is remarkable.

Mr. Scheer put the Conservative Party solidly onside with the Liberals in regretting "a terrible and unfair moment in the history of the federal government of Canada," as the Opposition Leader put it.

I wonder how Brad Trost and Jason Kenney feel about that?

Andrew Scheer understands, as Stephen Harper did (but Trost doesn't), that trying to fight battles that have already been lost can only damage the party.  I bet some small minority of backwoods cranks are mad about that, but I think most Conservative members and supporters get it.
