the coalition of the willing was strong, was deep! And there was that WMD thingee - yes?

I trust you will take the bait lead and explain just how, in spite of being officially unwilling, Canada actually supported the American Regime Change in Iraq... that is your want with this - yes?

During a Cabinet meeting, President Saddam Hussein asked his Ministers to speak freely rather than just being yes men. One minister spoke up and was critical of the President. The minister was promptly arrested. His wife made a pesonal appeal to the President to return her husband to her. Saddam complied with her request and he was returned home in three garbage bags.

No. I am asking why, even though the world thought it was wrong and even though the world was angry, why didn't the world do anything to stop them?

No wonder they are so emboldened to do evil things because they know you won't do anything!

Well, sonny, it seems you have some reading to do to understand the intricacies of the international opinions of the time.
Investigate your question yourself, and get back to us with some relevant links.

As I recall, Chretien refused to officially involve Canada in the US war on the Iraqi people.

Are you suggesting we should have also burned the White House... again?

?

Nobody is going to go to war with the US to defend Saddam Hussein.  Even if they disagree with the war.  They'd rather be alive than to defend a POS.

That's correct. I loved the interview with Chretien when he was asked how he reacted when Bush armtwisted him to join in the Iraq war, and he said, "I told him no". And that was that.
