I"m one of those 'scooped' and now we have to face NOT getting the remainder of the $50K for loss of language, culture, identity. We might just get $4K as the final installment. I was sickened reading the update stating ' indigeniety no long considered'. I'm wondering now, what? now non-FN got paid so they (lawyers) would meet their 'quota of 16K to DROP the settled amount to $4K? awful. Over all, I'd view it as 'it's ok for ALL those people to have 'abused' those children' as the final message.

the settlement was 'capped' at $25K... according to the Settlement Agreement: if between 20,000 and 30,000 Eligible Class Members are approved by the Administrator, each Eligible Class Member will receive $25,000 total compensation. Per the source, 'sixtiesscoopsettlement.info', as of March, 2022:

as your post reads, you're a part of the 'pre-20K' figure grouping that received an interim payment of $21K and, again per the settlement agreement, with the 20K-to-30K threshold met, you're now eligible for a final $4K payment.
