As someone with a hefty monthly RESP contribution I like free higher education, don't get me wrong...

But promising free education as an election platform is insane after four years of Trudeau spending.  Especially if the CPC has a strong fiscal conservative leader.

In the fine balance between the economy and the environment, the Liberals have shown that they try to please everyone and nobody as a result.  The CPC will present themselves as the champions of the economy so NDP needs to focus on the other half of the equation: the environment. 

They need to outgreen the Greens if they want to get anywhere in the next election.

Free higher education is going to be the nail on the coffin for the party if they try to run on that.
