And there will be a cloud in every silver lining.

I can't imagine why you think there will be a silver lining to this. Absolutely nothing justifies it.

Overall, everything is going to be fine.  I've made a lot of money, so that counts for something.

It counts for something today.

I'm doing fine for now. I don't know if my pension plan will remain funded and the rest of my investments will be yielding less because of lower interest rates and company dividends. Who knows what will happen to real estate or how much my money will actually buy in future. But OK for now.

This should be a lesson that life can turn on a dime. On March 13 I was shaking hands with people on a golf course in So Cal. Three days later I was running for home before my medical coverage was cancelled, not making contact with anyone and holing up for two weeks when we got home. And as we all know, life hasn't been the same since.

Popularity polls used to defend your pro Liberal bias like all the left and right stereotypes on this thread means little if anything. It does not substitute for providing  reasons for any position you have.

p.s., you are no hero member to me just a member everytime I read that hero member description I think  you should be addressed as  Saint John of Taylor
You have me mistaken with an eagle. I only come to eat your carcass.

At this point, no one knows what is going to happen regardless of their credentials. Everyone is guessing and hoping for the best.

No one ever KNEW what was going to happen.  Not one expert ever said "this is exactly what will happen with this virus blah blah blah"...   That's a straw man you're making up.

I suppose you could call it "guessing", but the guessing is based on evidence and science.

I'm referring to the economy, not the virus. The fact is, all the so called experts are guessing. Morneau as good as admits it in that interview. They are making it up as they go along and will deal with any consequences when they get there.

My mistake...

Well...  what can you do?  Do we not spend the money then and hope for the best?  Of course not.

You offer doom and gloom, but no real solutions...   who is offering differing solutions to what was done?  What are they?

I don't claim to have any solutions.  Our government needs to be considering the consequences of all this borrowing and balancing  it against the benefits. I don't see any signs they are doing that. Morneau's answers to Solomon's questions didn't do anything to address that concern.

I donít mean you...   I mean experts...  economic experts who disagree with what the govít is doing and offer different solutions.  Where are they?

Did you bother to look at the Moreau interview? He admits he doesnít know and at least I give him credit for being honest. For every ďexpertĒ who says donít worry be happy you can find another who says we bloody well should be worried.
