When Trump's reign of terror comes to an end with a thud, I think Canada's politics will follow. The mad rightist faction in Canada will lose all the wind from their sails.

And more or less a reverse response in Canada if Trump should win.

The Conservative party agenda will be largely seen as irrational and extremist in Canada in the future. They have no real talking points, as has been made evident by their support on this forum. Even their ridiculous talking points on taxation have been neutralized because of rational people looking below the surface on more than just what makes them feel good.

O'Toole is definitely more reasonable than that fool Scheer, he's no extremist, though some in the party are bonkers.  There are far-right elements in Canada that have been emboldened by Trump and the other things going on in the US that will hopefully lessen.  Unfortunately i think Trump is as much a symptom as a cause.
