Sad as our state of funding the military is, the funding of the CBC has been cut significantly since 2002-03. If it received the same funding increases as the military has, it would be over $2 billion today.
The CBC costs about a billion a year. That's preposterous. There are two alternate Canadian channels, why does CBC get funding when either tax cuts can take place or the military can be funded or the debt can be reduced. The CBC is a luxury we can't afford.
