"To conspire with others to kill people ... is among the most despicable crimes imaginable," said Justice Kathleen Ker.

And only 5 years or so with time served, plus statutory release when he's served 2/3rds of his sentence, he could be out in 3 years or so. No wonder he suddenly decided to plead guilty.
One former investigator, Derek Brassington, pleaded guilty in early 2019 to breach of trust and attempted obstruction of justice for carrying out a romantic relationship with a potential key witness in the case over several months in 2009. Two other former officers who worked on the case have pleaded guilty to non-criminal misconduct.
No, that’s not the case. It may be a light sentence, but it’s not 3 years considering he’s been in jail for 10+ years already.
I’m pretty sure murder doesn’t carry mandatory parole. They can keep him in for the max sentence.
He and Jarrod will eventually end up like brother Johnathan after they get out. The whole family is a real piece of work, particularly Pop. He must be a real proud dad, one son dead and the other two in jail.
So the dude is a gangster and they can't nap him on anything else?
