Are there any Democrats out there who are moderates?

The problem with our presidential election process is the lengthy campaign requires $$$$$$$ so very few people can consider doing it. And the ones who do are the last people you want to be president.

Compared to the GOP? All of them.

I'm really sick of "settling" at this point for what's the lesser of two evils, or what's at least better than the opposition. I'm quite fed up.

Well what does "moderate" even mean? Someone who sits on the fence about everything? You would have to define it. Is it moderate to have universal health care like every high-income nation on the planet aside from the United States? What about full-funded post-secondary education like many high-income nations? What about benefits like maternity leave, which many American families don't actually have? Is it moderate to insist on these things that exist almost everywhere in the world, but the United States? I would say so. But then, many Americans think that's radical socialism because they're morons.

Just the ones who think it's socialism? Or all of us?

Moderate can mean you have some left and some right beliefs. It can also mean that, in some circumstances, you support "middle of the road" solutions. There are few moderates left anyway, so it's almost not worth it for me to have brought it up. We're a dying breed.

Things like that tend to vary from state to state, however.

If Kamala won the nomination it would be awesome to see a cut-throat judge/lawyer rip through Trump at debates.
Yes I reckon she could handle Trump's BS better than Hillary did.
If I remember correctly, Hillary actually "won" the debates she had with Trump, so Hillary's performance there doesn't seem to have been a factor in her loss.

I'm not saying Kamala isn't good at debating, or that she wouldn't be superior, just that winning debates doesn't necessarily lead to victory in the white house.

Well, unfortunately Sanders has joined the race, and he's currently in second place in polls (behind Biden, despite the fact that Biden hasn't even declared himself a candidate.)

Sanders would be perhaps the worst possible choice for the Democrats. He's old, has limited appeal to minorities, and he has a ton of skeletons in his closet that the Republicans can use against him (they weren't used during the 2016 election because the republicans wanted him to win the primaries because they thought he would be easier to defeat than Clinton). And while a lot of people point to his policies and say "People love the idea of free health care/free college/etc.", the popularity of such policies drops when people realize taxes may have to go up to support them.

Some people claim that Sanders would somehow "renew"/"reinvigorate" the Democratic party, but he's an outsider, and the most likely effect is that he would build up a cult of personality around himself, with people more attracted to Sanders than the party.

Now, he might still have a chance at winning in a general election (probably more chance than he would have in 2016, given the various problems Trump has had since he got elected). But he'd also probably be one of the more likely candidates to lose.

I would agree that Hillary won the debates in terms of content, but Trump was able to wander around and lurk over her in his weird way and that tends to appeal to his base, for some scary reason. The pool of Dem. contenders keeps getting bigger, so lets hope they pick the right one.

There's a turnip on Twitter that says he might run.  He couldn't be worse than Trump.

Not sure about a turnip but I wonder if Mike Cohen could run while he is serving his prison sentence. According to a recent Quinnipiac poll he is more trustworthy than the current potus.

"Notably, voters find the criminally convicted Cohen more trustworthy than Trump, 50% to 35%, according to the poll".
