Both the president of Iran and the president elect of the US both have expressed desire to reenter the nuclear deal.

Close enough for me to agree upon. I would have preferred 'interest' instead of 'desire' on the part of Iran. Are you considering the very bad situation Trump has imposed on the upcoming Biden admin?

If you think the US needs Iranian oil so much than the lifting of sanctions would help there, and of course Iran's cash flow would certainly benefit.

Your sentence is a little hard to understand but I won't make a big issue of it, other than to ask you what you mean? So, the US doesn't need Iranian oil 'so bad' for the immediate short term. In fact, they claim to be self-sufficent on same for the short term. That's a somewhat dubious claim. And so also, the lifting of sanctions doesn't seem to be relevant to the issue without some sort of explanation on why the US would want to do that? (I did my best with what you provided)

Iran's cash flow is an interesting sidestep from the discussion. Iran is currently being able to sidestep some of the US sanctions, due to China's cooperation with Iran. (THE NEWS) But there's little doubt that Iran is going to demand a complete lifting of all sanctions if it is going to be coaxed back into any sort of nuclear deal that would be beneficial to the US. Is it so hard to understand that the US doesn't want any deal? It wants war and it needs the participation of Nato countries for justification!

And too, there's a distinct possibility that Iran could tell the US to take a hike, figuratively speaking, on the sanctions. Sides have been drawn and Iran has chosen to take the side of Russia and China. The future doesn't bode well for the US demanding anything much of two/thirds of the world's countries.

In any case, if you have a point you wish to clarify on account of that sentence being garbled, do so. Maybe I missed some point?

So you have incentives for all sides, hence the obvious reasons for expressions of desire to restart negotiations once the idiot trump is booted out.

I suggest that Trump's current action against Iran, if in fact it's attributable to Trump, was most likely the result of US foreign policy allowing it and promoting it, regardless of Trump. You may want to try to address that?

Once again, it has been explained to you that the the presidents of both countries have expressed a desire to return to the deal. There are notable benefits for both. If you want to split a hair over desire vs interest, that's your time to waste. I suggest Trump's current actions against Iran come directly from him. Trump does run his foreign policy like he does everything else, heedless of people who are actually knowledgeable on the subject.

At least Trump tells his hawks not to take a chance of starting WW3.

The story cites multiple anonymous US officials who say Trump’s only condition was that his aides do not risk starting “World War III.”

Do any Americans feel humble enough to be able to understand just how far they can push the situation 'without' starting WW3?

These are going to be dangerous times we will live through until Trump is gone. And then? We can look forward to a more ambitious US hawk in Biden's presidency.

The prpoblem trump is much more likely to create in that area is his withdrawal of thousands of troops from Afghanistan/Iraq which will allow ISIS etc. to regain power.

I hear you mr. Omni and you have done well to scratch the surface of the issue.

The arrangement between the US and the apartheid regime is a two-way arrangement. The apartheid regime benefits from US protection and the US benefits from being able to claim that it needs to protect the tiny little defenseless country that's hated in the ME.

Welcome back.

I think we will get along fine going forward, as I've said before, you have an ability to think when you apply yourself to the task.
