The thing is... there are degrees of 'ok' when it comes to this stuff. People would prefer to argue absolutes then look into which chains are actually making efforts to make things better in Bangladesh. Do you know which brands are actually working to make things better ? WAL MART was actually well regarded, as I recall, and Reitman's and Giant Tiger were about the worst.
If you don't take the time to investigate retailers, then you're accepting the fact that 50% of retailers DON'T REPORT. Talk about this stuff:

@MH, you totally missed the context....
@dia was talking about knockoffs (fake brands) and that it wasn’t a big deal if you can save a few bucks... it’s all the same. (Paraphrasing there). When, in reality, these knockoffs are way worse than most name brands and use child slave labour to make their products. It is, literally, harmful to children to buy knockoff products.
Of course some retailers and brands are better than others and you should research the brands/retailers you shop at, look at where your clothes are made, and make the best judgement possible. This is rarely done, but it should be.
