Well said Omni and essential correct, except that you characterize it rather poorly by suggesting that bombing Iran would look ridiculous. It deserves a better explanation than that!
The US's many wars of aggression haven't caused them to look 'ridiculous'. They always justify their wars and nearly always convince Nato countries to join in. Thereby turning themselves into the 'humanitarian' that bombs innocent civilians to save them.
Um, so you sign a nuclear arms control agreement, then you change government and unsign that agreement and then you threaten to bomb a country for not agreeing to the deal. If you don't think that looks ridiculous, then you need to seek a better understanding of the language.
