CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference)
« on: February 28, 2021, 08:16:13 pm »
Thought this deserved its own thread... since its more than just "Trump".

CPAC has held their annual meeting of the mindless. Keynote speaker was Stubby McBonespurs, and as expected most of the attendees lined up to kiss is behind.

On the other hand, former VP Racist Bannon declined an invitation to attend, as did Nikki Haley. Moscow Mitch and Mitt Romney were not invited (well, technically Romney was initially invited, then disinvited.)

CPAC.... Come for the idolatry...

https://www.ctvnews.ca/world/trump-idolized-in-golden-statue-dominant-force-at-conservative-conference-1.5327098
A conference dedicated to the future of the conservative movement turned into an ode to former U.S. President Donald Trump as speakers declared their fealty to the former president and attendees posed for selfies with a golden statue of his likeness.

Stay for the fascism.

From: https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/world/news/cpac-stage-is-shaped-like-a-nordic-rune-used-on-some-nazi-uniforms/articleshow/81255429.cms
A stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference drew attention over the weekend for its resemblance to a Nordic rune that appeared on Nazi uniforms.

Ok, there is a chance that the similarity between the stage design and the nazi-related symbol was just a coincidence. But have you ever noticed how many of those 'coincidences' seem to appear with the republicans and nazi-related symbols?

One of the topics that CPAC was dealing with was 'Cancel Culture', and how conservative voices are being suppressed by the evil left wingers.

Being the massive hypocrites they are, CPAC themselves engaged in a little 'cancel culture' of their own...

From: https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/cpac-cancels-anti-semitic-speaker_n_60349652c5b673b19b6ad228?ri18n=true
This year’s theme is “America Uncanceled,” yet the organization has already tweeted a cancelation...The tweet didn’t name the individual, but earlier in the day CPAC canceled a speaker named Young Pharaoh over his habit of making anti-Semitic claims

Betting on a loser is typically a bad idea.
I can tell how good of a person you are by how you treat the people you disagree with.

Do you ever look back at the past and wonder how good ideas ever got to the fore ?

That's run aground Trump's Reef.

Of course if you've never been aground you probably haven't been around. It happens, more when than if, and you need a plan for it.  I've long believed if Trump's assassinated it'll be an inside job and there's probably even more reason for believing it now.

Hopefully the list of attendees vs. non-attendees is a sign of a significant split in the Republican demographics.

Between the dumber and the dumbest, which I suppose makes the merely dumb look pretty good.

Maybe they should bring another Bush back into the fold.
