70 percent support Roe v. Wade and the other 30 percent would if their daughters were impregnated by ****.

Where that 70% is located matters.  Is it all in places like NY, California?   Then it doesn’t matter….  the states controlled by Republicans will outlaw abortion, and it’ll be status quo in the states that have half a brain.

Schumer is going to put this into vote Monday to codify Roe vs Wade. It’ll be interesting to see how R senators vote on this. I think many were happy to pass the buck to SCOTUS but now their own legacy is on the line.

What a sh!thole country.

I welcome Republican overreach now and not after the midterms. I wouldn't underestimate the negative impact this will have on the far right in general. PIerreP must be pissed.

It won’t even pass all the Dems, I bet. 

And if it does, will SCOTUS uphold it, or overturn it based on some state’s rights nonsense?

How long until contraception is banned….?   If a fertilized egg has a right to not be aborted, it must have that same right regardless of the method to eliminate it.

I doubt contraception will be totally banned... probably just made harder and harder to obtain (especially for poorer people)... Red-states switch to "abstinence only" sex education, dropping of birth control from government-funded programs, etc.

Any contraceptive  that affects a fertilized egg will be.   It’s as murderous as an abortion.

What, just because Moscow Mitch failed to even allow hearings on Obama's nominee, then had Stubby McBonespurs (who lost the popular vote, and got elected with the assistance of the Russian government) nominate 3 justices (who then, from the looks of things, proceeded to lie to the senate during confirmation hearings), and who were approved by republican senators (from states who's total population represented less than half of the U.S. population)? How can that be considered bad?

To do that, they would need to get rid of the filibuster. Given the presence of Manchin/Sinema (who have fought to maintain the filibuster) I doubt anything will happen in the near future. And given the current political climate, there is a good chance that the Democrats will end up losing seats in the next midterm election (giving control of the Senate back to Moscow Mitch.)
