I’m still waiting for that data you used to make your initial assertion.  Unless you finally want to admit that your opinion wasn’t based on any data.

I didn’t claim there was any data. You did. Put up or f**k off.

Trying to imagine the workings of a mind that thinks laws allowing abortion will result in physicians being forced to perform them (despite their being zero examples of this happening in the decades in which abortion was legal in the USA) while also believing laws banning abortion wouldn’t result in people being prosecuted for performing them and realizing the only way to square that circle would be to ram a pencil into each nostril well past the point of resistance.

In Florida, a 16-year-old in the care of child welfare authorities is not mature enough to get an abortion but mature enough to have a child.

About 10 weeks into her pregnancy, Jane sought a judge’s order approving an abortion under a state law restricting the rights of minors to the procedure. Jane’s guardian, who is not named, agreed with the teen’s decision, the order says. The order she sought is called a “judicial bypass.” Such orders generally involve minors who are reluctant to seek parental permission. Escambia Circuit Judge Jennifer J. Frydrychowicz rejected Jane’s request. The order offers little detail regarding Frydrychowicz’s decision, except to say the judge believed Jane lacked the maturity — a requirement under the statute — to choose an abortion.

Imagine, being at the low point in your life... finding that the child that you wanted will not survive. And then being told that you have to carry this deformed fetus in your body (with all the health complications and risks associated with any pregnancy) for months until birth, at which point the newborn will immediately die. A constant reminder of what is coming up.

And Republicans are fine with that.

The cruelty is the point.

Yeah people don't care about saving innocent lives they just want to ruin women's lives and punish them.

Not saying this is the right policy or exceptions can't be made for abortions but you can't always assume the worst intentions.  Just because people don't agree with you politically doesn't mean they are Satan.

I don’t have to assume anything about anyone’s intentions when their actions speak louder than anything else.
