You're partly right. In a way, there's always been a space force, as it's been part of the Air Force and Navy. It's just now it's own entity with an expanded role. So it's much ado about nothing. The fuss is entertaining though!
The really entertaining fuss is watching donny get ready to get his ass kicked down the road. I guess he's now gearing up to try and Space Force the EC vote off into orbit.
