Everyone agrees this incident was deplorable. Exploiting it for personal agenda or partisan political views is cheap.

I find Trump's comments after the fact very poorly stated. He is not the statesman one needs in times of turmoil. He lacks basic compassionate, empathic and diplomatic skills as evidenced in his comments and that is unfortunate.

When crap like this goes down, we need to hear from calm people. Take a listen to the speech RFK made after MLK was shot dead as an example. We just do not have that kind of politician in the US right now.

A leader able to transcend basic division and unite people is a hard thing to find these days not just in the US but anywhere in the world.

I think this crap has always been there but today's cell phone and internet makes it so immediate by being so quick to expose and see.

Yes and Trump goes on in that call to suggest he will activate the military to crush these demonstrators, so once again he demonstrates he knows little of the law or his authority. At least one governopr (Illinois I think it was) shot back at Trump expressing his dislike for the rhetoric. I imagine having that call splasherd across the airs will have Donny tweeting up yet another **** storm.

Just watching the goings on as trump plans to speak in the rose garden. You could cut the tension with a knife and now the tear gas is flowing. Why did this stupid **** decide to go outside and not just make whatever retarded statement he wants to make now, instead of staying in his office. I guess he gets his jollies off creating unrest. I'm hoping an abrupt wind change will give trump a big swig of tear gas which gives him a **** heart attack! What a fitting departure for a dictator such as he.

I would hate to be a member of the US military just now. Being sent somewhere to silence the free speech of my fellow citizens would give me pause. I might be inclined to rip that serial number off my chest in defiance of the current commander in chief as he asks me to break the laws of the land.

I bet there'll be more who are inclined to flash their 'secret' hand signs in support of the Supremacist-in-Chief.

I refer to what's known as the 1st amendment of the US constitution. Look it up.

Unfortunately I suspect you are probably right.

This is just another Trump bait and switch.

He wouldn't have the stomach to order the US Military to shoot civilians in the street. That would be the only way to enforce curfews.

That Paul Martin attack ad from 2006 needed a crazy person like Trump to have to reach full realization.

Once again Democrat mayors and governors show us how not to handle a situation.  As if their covid performance wasn't enough.  Maybe Cuomo will mandate rioters be admitted into long term care facilities too!  :D

Btw, an inconvenient truth.  More white people are killed every year by police.  More unarmed white people are killed by police.  You'd never know though, because it doesn't fit the mainstream media's narrative.

Any leader who expects an army to fire on its own citizens is taking a huge gamble and it has backfired on more than a few.
