Ken Starr dead
« on: September 14, 2022, 11:21:23 am »
Noted ass-wipe and extreme partisan hypocrite Ken Star has died.

From: https://www.npr.org/2022/09/13/1122813284/ken-starr-whitewater-independent-counsel-dies
Kenneth Starr...died Tuesday at a Houston hospital due to complications from surgery, his family said. He was 76.

If you recall, Starr was the independent counsel who was given the task of investigating the Clintons and Whitewater. This of course morphed into an impeachment based on Bill Clinton's sex life (technically lying about it... but still, it was a long ways away from the initial topic of investigation.)  Of course, his pro-impeachment stance seemed to disappear once Trump was in office.

Clinton gets oral sex: "We must impeach!"
Trump tries to blackmail a foreign country into interfering in an election, then later tries to overthrow the results on a legitimate election: "Oh no, you can't impeach a president over that!"

Of course, the man who was SOOOO obsessed about the sex life of Clinton didn't seem to care enough to deal with the problem when he was at Baylor university, and he had to resign when multiple cases of assault were not investigated properly.

He will not be missed. Well, unless he owned money to someone, then they might miss him.

Star said later that he regretted the direction the Lewinsky investigation went but,

He also complained during Trump's impeachment that it was being used too frequently. “How did we get here, with presidential impeachment invoked frequently in its inherently destabilizing as well as acrimonious way?”

Ummm... Starr tried to have Clinton impeached over oral sex... I think we know "how we got there".

Any suggestions that he regretted the way the Lewinsky investigations went seem like self-serving empty rhetoric. Starr is a giant hypocrite. He likely regrets nothing (except perhaps that it might have harmed his own reputation.)
