It's going to get worse.

50 years ago, being a Police Officer was considered an honorable profession. However, that started to change with the Rodney King beating. With social media everywhere, recruitment centres are literally begging for people to become Cops so much that they have dropped many requirements, including psychological tests, and are willing to admit more and more people with questionable beliefs and backgrounds.

Police are not perfect. They are human beings too. The Left is responsible for the increase in Police shootings. They have vilified the Police to such an extent that they ahve scared away all the good Police Officers. After all, who wants to work at a job, that most cannot handle, due to the incredible stress, and risk of death, only to have the majority of people hate you.

At this rate, North American Police Departments will consist of a bunch of mindless Nazi thugs. All thanks to the Left.

Over the top. The majority of people do not hate the police but there are very noisy ones that do. When I hear the same people spouting off all the time, I become very curious about their real story because they quite clearly have a personal axe to grind. The police have great support in our community, however there will always be some who shouldn’t be there, either because they should never have been hired in the first place or the daily stresses of the job have changed them over time.

Police today are under a microscope like never before. They are told to assume everything they do is being recorded, as if they shouldn’t know by now. How many of us with far less stressful jobs that don’t spend our days dealing with the worst in society can say the same? Police departments also create their own cultures which vary according to their leadership. The great majority of those who join want to make a difference and serve their communities.
