NYPD finally decides to fire killer cop
« on: August 19, 2019, 02:11:24 pm »
We've all seen the video of NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo choking Eric Garner, who essentially did nothing illegal, to death. The cop loses his job, while a man loses his life. I think he should be in jail and the "fat pigs" who assisted him should be fired. A cop got away with murder!

I guess to be fair I should also point out that Garner was apparently involved in the "heinous crime" of selling cigarettes.

Five years after Eric Garner’s dying plea that “I can’t breathe” became the rallying cry against police brutality across the nation, the police officer who killed him has been fired.

New York City Police Commissioner James O’Neill announced his decision Monday to fire NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo after it was found found that he'd violated policy policy by restraining Garner with a prohibited chokehold in 2014.

Not sure why that has to be such an ordeal.  Killing our citizens seems like bad protocol.

The Left is responsible for the increase in Police shootings. They have vilified the Police to such an extent that they ahve scared away all the good Police Officers.

That's a pretty crazy statement.  You are blaming the left while simultaneously saying the police that are left are not the good ones.

Hard to reconcile that.

It's going to get worse.

50 years ago, being a Police Officer was considered an honorable profession. However, that started to change with the Rodney King beating. With social media everywhere, recruitment centres are literally begging for people to become Cops so much that they have dropped many requirements, including psychological tests, and are willing to admit more and more people with questionable beliefs and backgrounds.

Police are not perfect. They are human beings too. The Left is responsible for the increase in Police shootings. They have vilified the Police to such an extent that they ahve scared away all the good Police Officers. After all, who wants to work at a job, that most cannot handle, due to the incredible stress, and risk of death, only to have the majority of people hate you.

At this rate, North American Police Departments will consist of a bunch of mindless Nazi thugs. All thanks to the Left.

Over the top. The majority of people do not hate the police but there are very noisy ones that do. When I hear the same people spouting off all the time, I become very curious about their real story because they quite clearly have a personal axe to grind. The police have great support in our community, however there will always be some who shouldn’t be there, either because they should never have been hired in the first place or the daily stresses of the job have changed them over time.

Police today are under a microscope like never before. They are told to assume everything they do is being recorded, as if they shouldn’t know by now. How many of us with far less stressful jobs that don’t spend our days dealing with the worst in society can say the same? Police departments also create their own cultures which vary according to their leadership. The great majority of those who join want to make a difference and serve their communities.
