The first sedition charges have been laid in the January 6 Trump attempt at a coup.

Quote
Stewart Rhodes, the founder and leader of the far-right Oath Keepers militia group, has been arrested and charged with seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, authorities said Thursday.

Ten other people were also charged with seditious conspiracy in connection with the attack, when authorities said members of the extremist group came to Washington, D.C., intent on stopping the certification of President Joe Biden's election victory.

These are the first charges of seditious conspiracy that the Justice Department has brought in connection with the attack led by supporters of former president Donald Trump.

When did riots become coups?
The riot was a part of the coup attempt.

Look man you can't just go throwing words like "coup" around willy-nilly when we're really talking about an organized attempt to violently overturn the results of a free and democratic election by people acting on behalf of the previous regime.

Hey, you shouldn't be using words like "violently overturn".  Those people at the capitol were peaceful protesters, almost like they were on vacation.

I know when I go on vacation, I always try to find a cop to assault, and politicians to hang.

You know, normal tourist stuff.

I like the rumors that Clarence Thomas' health issues are a front to create an excuse to step down as part of an agreement to not have his wife imprisoned for treason.

It gets better. Her texts to Mark Meadows asking him to be patient while they try to get the army inside to effect a coup is pretty damning stuff. Seems quite a coincidence that Clarence has suddenly disappeared with "health problems".

It's not clear to me if she meant the Army was referring to an army of Trump supporters (aka the mob), but either way, Thomas should be removed as more of her ties to causes he's ruled on come to light.

Complete and utter nonsense.  You can't remove someone from any office based on the actions of a spouse.
Yes, you can. It's called "failure to disclose a conflict of interest."

No you remove him for his failing to recuse himself from cases in which he had a conflict of interest. How are you this dumb?

Which case was there a conflict of interest?  There is none.
The case where Clarence was the sole vote in opposition (8-1) to releasing Trump's Jan. 6 documents, which we now see implicate his wife

Clarence Thomas was the lone dissent in the Supreme Court's January order rejecting Trump's bid to withhold documents from the January 6 panel

Of course we'd have to back and look to see how many other causes Ginni has had her greasy hands in that ended up on the USSC docket with that gross old sex pest sitting in judgement.

.  You people have lost your freaking minds.
Did you read the part about her lobbying to get Trump to send Biden to a barge off Guantanamo? She's heavily implicated and her husband has been compromised.

LOL, and under what authority would that happen? 😂
Did she insist that she’s the Queen of England too?
She was communicating with the White House and trying to get them onboard with her insurrectionist conspiracy. It's undeniable from reading the texts, which I'm sure your "news sources" have told you nothing about

Just tell me under what authority Joe Biden could be sent to Guantanamo?  Please explain in detail.
The illegal authority of the coup she was attempting. But yes, I agree she must be absolutely insane. That isn't being disputed. Still, her insurrectionist words are what they are.

She quite possibly could be insane.  Who knows.  Regardless, so-called insurrectionist words are protected speech.
No, they are conspiracy to commit a crime. That's never been protected. You're an idiot.
