Women's rights should be seen in context. Women were slaves inside the home before? Well kinda but not quite. Today people have 1 or 2 or no babies. Pre-contraceptive pill, for tens of thousands of years men be like "let's
****" so women would have 5 or 9 or 11 babies. You can't work when you have 5 or 7 or 19 babies, and putting that many kids in daycare would eat all the money the woman would make outside the home anyways.
And before the modern information age & before a world of HR managers, marketing execs, web designers etc. a lot more westerners did thing more physically demanding jobs like farming, coal mining, masonry, & general hauling-heavy-crap-around etc. so the man was more suited for that stuff, & women had milk-producing breasts and baby-producing vaginas so they were the ones who stayed home.
Then came WWII & women be like "hey fellas are gone & i'm making my own money & not cleaning up child turds all day I like this" but then fellas came back & women went back into the home & they be like "uhh WTF", so the 60's roll around & times-are-a-changin' & the pill comes out & women be like "I don't want babies every time we
****" so then pow women are now working & not having many babies, immigration is needed to make up for declining populations, & the West has been slowly but dramatically morphing ever since.
