I am very happy about this, I won't lie.  Also the decision wasn't even close... 9-3 as I heard

Yes, very good news. Three things I like about it:

1)  people being protected from discrimination is great news.

2)  the majority decision was written by Neil Gorsuch, the first of Trump's appointees. Gorsuch is a conservative, but sided with the liberals on this issue, much to the outrage of Moral Majority types.  It gives hope that despite a conservative majority on the US Supreme Court for a long time to come, the court won't necessarily be a rubber stamp for conservative policy.  (Trump's other appointee, Judge Kavanbro, basically punted. He congratulated the LGBT side on their victory and said they advanced strong arguments, but felt that it was something that should have been legislated by Congress, not by a court ruling.)

3) the ruling as I understand it stems from existing rules prohibiting sex discrimination.  Gorsuch's logic is that to fire someone for things that would be perfectly acceptable for someone of the opposite sex is simply sex discrimination.  What I like about this is that it provides workplace protection for people, without going down the rabbit hole of gender-theory nonsense.  While I am no lawyer, it seems to me that the logic behind this decision does nothing to dismantle single-sex spaces or sex-based protections. If that's the case I think it's a great result.
