That would help I am sure, but people object to other people based on things other than religion. I think continuing to push for inclusiveness and free global movement of people will be effective eventually.
Yes, religion is not the only divisive factor, but it is more of a major one than you think.
And what would be involved in "pushing for inclusiveness"? For most it seems that they want to be included (translation: demand that everyone else adjust for THEM, but refuse to accomodate others), but refuse to extend that same inclusiveness to others.
My feeling is still that everyone wants their rights, but no one wants the responsibility of living in an inclusive society. To have a true inclusive society, there needs to be accomodation on all sides, not just for one particular group's beliefs. And what happens when one particular group's beliefs clash wildly with another group's beliefs? It can't always be one group "giving in" and accomodating another. It seems that some here only want inclusiveness and accomodation extended to their own pet "group" but don't care what that group does to others.
Ever since I lived in the US, I've said I can see another civil war happening soon down there.
