I couldn't help but join the conversation about Sam's viewpoints. I agree that he always brings up interesting points, but I have to say that his assumption about none of Trump's supporters believing he was cheated seems a bit off. Personally, I think it's more accurate to say that no rational person would believe such claims. If you're interested in diving deeper into the political landscape and the upcoming primary election, this resource might provide some valuable insights: https://www.politiq.net/US_President_Republican_Party_Primary_Election_2024. I have found interesting information there.

Well, we have a new visitor.

Sam Harris is one of my favourite intellectuals but I don't agree with his take on Muslims or religion in general.

We've got a long running conversation about him, and how he's an upgrade to Jordan Peterson.. who is the attempt to reintroduce the idea of a public intellectual.

Maybe we can start with a list of public intellectuals that are suited for the task of discussing complex issues.
(What's the difference between complex and complicated?)

And maybe they have to have a minimum amount of public awareness already.
