Well it actually does, Obama for instance deported the highest number of immigrants/asylum seekers who were found to not have valid claims than any other previous POTUS.
No he did not. The US changed the definition of deportation in the later years of the Bush administration. Newly arrived immigrants caught near the border used to be bused back across immediately. They changed the process so that they were fingerprinted and photographed first, and then formally deported back. This added a million 'deportations' to the figures. But an important aspect is none of these people argued they were refugees or claimed asylum. Once caught they just accepted being sent right back.
