So apparently Fidget Spinners are the most important thing in the world right now. More important than tacos, Instagram, Donald Trump, selfies-- anyway, Laina lays it out:

I need to get one of these Right Now before people realize that I'm not cool.

More important than tacos? C'mon.
-
Is this a thing for your generation too, kimmy?
My grade school kids is totally addicted to hers and so are all her friends but I didn't know you can be in your 30's and uncool without one. :)
-
I wasn't aware that I was uncool without one, but now that I know that everybody else is doing it, I feel uncool not having one.

Now that people are posting again I just may do that.

Some people are apparently having just a little too much fun with their fidget spinners.

My nephew is really into these things. I found myself compulsively fidgeting with them when he was showing them to me. I guess I see the appeal. When you get them going and you tilt your hand they feel weird. There's some force you feel like those old gyroscope toys with the spinny thing in the wire cage thing? Is this crazy talk? Does anyone know what the hell I'm saying? Like all fads, it will be nostalgia in 10 years.
-
I tried one last night. So that means: I don't have to buy one.

I was at a Canada Day celebration a 17 year old was playing with his fidget spinner the whole time.
I can't believe it, I guess it's not just a kid thing.

Better than being on a cell phone the whole time, no?

Except in Russia, of course, where they worry about anti-government zombies.

Wow. $100 in prize money... :-\
I like it ok, but much better that you found an old Fidget Spinner thread to revive.

Now his brother can get the new bones he needs!
I like it ok, but much better that you found an old Fidget Spinner thread to revive.
Every time I go through the dollar store and see all the unwanted, unloved fidget spinners on the shelf, I think of this thread. Who would have thought the fidget spinner craze would die out so quickly?

Anyone know where I can find a friend for my tamogotchi?
