I read the fires are getting pretty close to Kim City.

Stay safe, Kimmy!

Maybe I'm the only one that doesn't know - where is Kim City, exactly?

BC_cheque:
She's never said publicly as far as I know but she had dropped some hints which us BC'ers may have found more familiar.

Then during the BC election she said something that pretty much confirmed it, but then again, I don't know for certain and that's why I didn't mention any names.

Thanks, BCC!  Things are ok in my area. A community just up the highway had a human-caused fire yesterday, but it was contained pretty quickly.  The hardest-hit areas have been to the north and west of here, especially the Williams Lake region.

A few days last week the smoke here was so thick that you could only see a few blocks, but now the air quality is back to normal and it's easy to forget that so much of the province is on fire right now.  A lot of evacuees are being accommodated here right now.

Kim City is the central community in the Lost Lake region of BC's interior.
